Mostafa, who writes a blog called “What to say, there are no words” has an entry for today entitled “Acceptance of sanctions, acceptance of suspension”, which is a comparison of Iran’s situation towards the end of the eight year war with Iraq and the final acceptance of the United Nations resolution 598, and today, when it is under pressure from world community to accept the suspension of uranium enrichment. He focuses on similar slogans in both circumstances:
“[…] “war, war until victory”, “The road to Qods [Jerusalem], passes through Karbala [in Iraq]”, “We decide the fate of war at war-fronts not behind negotiation-tables” and finally, the likening of the acceptance of peace treaty to drinking a cup of poison; these are only a small portion of the heavy atmosphere of propaganda at the time of war. […]
“Under current circumstances, [Islamic Republic’s] system is on the surface of it, entangled with 5+1, but in truth because it has gone over the top with trying to portray the need for enrichment and its suspension as a redline not to be crossed for the system, it has entangled itself with the public opinion within the country, and cannot be sure, if it accepts the suspension, what it would do about the public opinion! It does not know how far its supporters will slip in their doubt and confusion as a result of this decision […]”
“[…] in any case, sooner or later, the system will be forced, like before, to strike a balance between [domestic] public opinion and outside pressures, and not for the good of the country, but for the continuation of its own rule, it must make a final decision.”

Behnam Qolipour, the author of the blog “E’tedal” [Balance], notes that Ali Larijani, current Majlis speaker and sometime nuclear negotiator, who has had a more balanced position in the past, recently has been assuming a much harsher stance.
“[…] The two recent speeches of Mr. Larijani as the Majlis [parliament] speaker, against European sanctions, shows that hopes for a diplomatic solution to Iran’s nuclear standoff with the West has disappeared like “smoke in the air”.
“Now the question is this: Why is Mr. Larijani in his position as a speaker for Iran, busy giving harsh answers to sanctions and West’s positions against Iran?
“Maybe the answer could lie in this: the situation is much more critical he imagined before.”

The author of the blog “Get to know Ahmadinejad better” brings up one of the election slogans of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad against nepotism and mafia before naming 12 of his relatives who have been appointed to high positions during his tenure, and goes on to say:
“[…] This is nothing. Just pay a visit to our university in order to truly understand the meaning of nepotism. […] Mother and father and son and daughter and new-born of one family are employed in this university and are collecting salary from it!!! […] Believe me that more than 50 percent of the staff in this university are close members of one family […]”
